Throat Hurts Not Strep

Nazi marches again successfully blocked

Rico Gebhardt, chairman of the state of Saxony said LEFT:

"The planned Nazi rally on Saturday was again successfully prevented this year. Thousands of citizens blocked in important key points, the roadmaps of the fascists, because they wanted to give them no room for their revisionist slogans.

I thank everyone who participated despite the cold weather so many of the peaceful blockades. This shows that courage can do that, what policy and Dresden Saxon Government were not able to. I am particularly pleased that so many members my party had participated in the peaceful protest and civil resistance. And it was good to get as much support from the entire Federal Republic. Even members of friendly parties with us from the Czech Republic participated as in the past year in the protests.

Unfortunately, it is at a few points come to blockade violence that we regret. We also call on the future to carry out any anti-fascist protest by peaceful means. About the

completely covered police mission to end the peaceful protest and it used disproportionate means in the storming of the "Meeting House" in Dresden, in which even the Dresden city association who left his office will be political, parliamentary and legal to talk yet!

For the revisionist and inhuman ideology of neo-Nazis and extreme right, it must also be given in a free society no room. For this reason, we will, if necessary, to go again next year in Dresden on the road of peaceful protest - to finally Nazi marches here in Dresden are history "
